An international conference on
Inequalities, Skills and Globalization
is organised in Lille on the 21st and 22nd of June 2012
The conference is organised within the framework of the programme MONDES (Globalization, restructuring and social and professional downgrading), funded by the French Research National Agency (ANR), in partnership with the research group GRESI (Globalisation, Regionalization and Economic Inequality) financed by the Flanders Region, the MESHS (European Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, Lille) and the University of Lille 1.
The conference aims at gathering the most recent analyses concerning the economics of growing inequalities and changing poverty within both advanced and emerging countries, with a special emphasis on their links with the process of globalization and on the relationships between inequality, skill and education.
Both theoretical and empirical works on the multiple dimensions of the dynamics of inequalities within globalized economies are welcome.
